We have all heard of miracles. Whether I am awake or asleep, I have experienced countless miracles in my life. You have heard of many miraculous incidents, but these are nothing compared to what we experience day in and day out.

What is a miracle, actually?

A miraculous incident is something that amazes us, something beyond our current capabilities or even our comprehension.

Some examples include walking on water, sitting in fire, or manifesting something from thin air. These events intrigue the mind and captivate us.

I am a student of Biology and Medicine. Many of you may not have studied these subjects. Human Physiology, the way the human body works, is truly amazing. It has fascinated me and instilled a sense of awe.

Our body is made up of systems—nervous system, cardiovascular system, etc. Each system consists of well-coordinated organs. Organs are made up of tissues, and tissues are made up of cells.

A cell is so tiny that it can only be seen with a microscope. Yet, it is an entire universe in itself. I have read entire books about the functioning of cells, and there are thousands more books on the subject.

But the mystery doesn’t end there. I have organs that allow me to move, speak, and perform countless actions. Our executive organs enable us to do all sorts of things.

Some people are great at painting with their hands, some excel at playing musical instruments, others at handwriting, sculpting, or sports like football, baseball, and cricket. The possibilities are endless.

No! The miracles are endless. Yes! The miracles are endless.

There are even more layers to these miracles. The next layer involves perception through the senses. Doctors still don't fully understand how nerves in the eyes perceive light, how nerves in the skin perceive touch, or how nerves in the mouth perceive taste. Why is it so?

Take taste, for example—an infinite variety of experiences is happening. I love eating certain foods, while you love others. I enjoy certain colors, but you might find them dull or boring.

Even if miracles stopped here, I wouldn’t go mad.

But there’s another dimension: the mind. It is even more complex and intertwined. There is language, thought, feelings, emotions, moods, behaviors, awareness, intellect, memory, wakefulness, dreams, and sleep. Each of these has endless variations. There is morality, immorality, values, ambitions, pursuits, good and bad, religious and non-believer, science and superstition, peace and unrest, bondage and liberation, evidence versus faith, spiritual or naturalist.

Consider the vastness of these happenings across all realms. It is overwhelming. It is phenomenal. Or rather, it is a phenomenon.

If you know about computers, the basic commands operate in binary—0 and 1. Then, there is a superimposition of language, an operating system, and different programs like Microsoft Word. Through that, you weave magic by writing or drawing.

Our lives, in a way, are like this—running on layers and layers of different languages and operating systems.

When you serve me a glass of water, when you lift a pencil, or when you look at someone, an infinite array of miracles is happening every time.

It’s as though we are wrapped in layers upon layers of miracles.

Even if all these miracles are pointing outward, they are like the dancing waves of the ocean.

Is there a thread behind all these miracles?

Sometimes, it feels like my own awareness could be that thread. Our own awareness might be that thread. In fact, all these miracles could be the waves of my awareness, my perception, for each one of us.

Perhaps there is another thread that could transform this entire tumult into waves of awareness—my awareness, our awareness, or even his awareness.

Perhaps this “perhaps” will become true. That too will be a miracle.

Gurudeva, his blessings, and the practice of his teachings can transform this “perhaps” into certainty... His loving gaze, his assuring smile, his presence…

Aren’t our lives filled with ceaseless miracles? Yes or Yes!
